In 1885, the settlers of central Burleson gathered in each other's homes for the Mass. In 1888, they were officially recognized as a parish. Many of the early members were of Czech origin from the village of Frenstat in Moravia. Our ancestors passed on the Catholic faith and morals to their families; now it is our turn. We respond to one another in the spirit of nurturing, healing, and caring. We are a small but giving community dedicated to the spiritual growth of the family, the parish, and the community. We find our strength, wisdom, and direction through Christ. We are strongly committed to the Catholic education of anyone who seeks God's truth. We envision this parish community as a bright light for the future to carry on the Mission of Christ, not only for the residents of this community, but also for the many people who visit Frenstat . . . click here for more history
